Bouldering at Lahaul summer 2011

Chota Dhara
After Chatru we went up to Chota Dhara (3850 Mt) , it took us 4  hours of walking to cover the distance of 17 Km ,after arriving  there we set up our  camp in a nice cave called ice goofa.It will be our home for the next seven days .Chota Dhara is one of the most amazing place to go climbing . it offer's one of the best bouldering available any where in the world.

This  place also has amazing potential for new multipitch routes on the granite towers that surrounds this place . The fantastic wealth of high quality bouldering   kept us intrigued for the whole time.    With so many areas and so many problems we felt  in seven days we will only scratch the surface. The areas to boulder in Chota Dhara are Shanti Shepherd area,Goofa City area , The Garden area , Storming Haven area , & Crazy Cat Garden area . During our stay we visited most of these areas and were able to climb  some problems . The problems were varied in  nature from smooth hold less slabs to powerful steep climbing and all of us enjoyed some great send"s. Dave did the classic Shanti Shepherd(Font 7A+) ,we also raised the bar with Oscar by climbing Positive Medicine(Font 7A+) also in the same area.. The other problem we did in this area is Dirty Shepherd Direct(Font 7A+), a obvious roof line then direct using a sloppy crimp.Dave & Oscar tried the super hard Shepherd Shuffle(Font8A), it was amazingly hard.. Then we check out the Goofa City area ,The Smile boulder is the absolute star here with classic  problems all over it .Dave did the classic Smiling Baba(Font 7A). By this time we were feeling strong and dicided it was time to project,and we went for  Mumble Om(Font 7B) a powerfull short problem which has a very hard mantle top out, after a hard battle we were close,but could not send this line.The next area was the Garden City area, the classic(Slab) problem here is the Garden of Dreams(Font 6B), and it also has many other very difficult lines .On the other areas we didn't had much time to solve the classic hard problems but nevertheless did some of the problems there .With so much to do it will be for sure a place where we are going to spend a lot of time in future

Rakchham 2022 to 2024

Bouldering is the premier venue for pushing the absolute limit of free climbing  Sugar Fish Fb 8B+ ✅   After the last season's project with Bernd Zangerl, Guilliano Cameronni and Melislisa Le neve the psych was high and we invested more time for training, from January to April we worked at a climbing gym as coach and route setter and as the summer approaches headed up to the mountains. this year the motivation was high for some really hard and high quality lines. Rakchham harbours world class bouldering and climbing, so it was our main focus of the year. We reached Rakchham around April and immediately started working and trying the test pieces. Pachmarhi cup 2013

By Tania Kar  In march 2013 i visited Pachmarhi in Madhya pradesh for an open national rock climbing competition The Pachmarhi cup organised by M.P sport climbing association and supported by IMF west zone sport climbing committee. The comp took place on 23rd &24th of march . Pachmarhi is a small pretty hill town located in Satpura hills at an altitude of 1067 meters above sea level, after reaching piparia station at night we took a cab  and drove through  a dense forest of teak and shal  for an hour to reach our destination.The reach smell of  forest vegetation and the nearly full moon enhance the experience with a sudden lone cry of some night crawler. on our arrival we were put up on Torry"s Ark rest house.
